Namaqua Coastal Route

The Namaqua Coastal Route meanders through the vastness of the great Namaqualand and its loosely defined boundaries run through SpringbokOkiepNababeepKleinzeeKoiingnaasHondeklip BayGariesKamieskroon and back to Springbok. The Route was founded in March 2016 and has grown from strength to strength since.

There are kilometers of pristine coastline to explore, nature reserves, slow-living guest farms, retreats, 4×4 routes, specialist photographic and botanical tours, museums, local cuisine to be enjoyed, remote hiking trails, fantastic birding spots, surfing, angling, boat excursions and much, much more to experience.

EXPERIENCE THE NORTHERN CAPE

The Northern Cape is scattered with diverse culture, rich frontier history and activities to suit every adrenaline junkie’s taste. From hiking and 4×4 adventures to gamespotting in unique parks, travellers of all persuasions will unearth a hidden gem here amongst some of themost unique flora in the world. The Orange River runs through the Northern Cape, bringing life and painting the arid landscape with rich green belts, creating oases and havens for birdlife and other animals. The famous Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park extends across much of the Kalahari Desert and is a popular attraction for those looking for an escape into the silence of a wide horizons and open spaces interrupted only by the cry of the African fish eagle or roar of a Kalahari Lion.
